Clubs and Pubs Best Cleaning Methods Revealed

We tested the surfaces of 10 gaming machines and other high use touchpoints in a popular Sydney Club. What we discovered was a mix of levels and cleanliness.

We collected samples of ATP levels across 10 of the clubs most popular gaming machines to find out what were the most touched areas, what carried the highest level of ATP and how different cleaning methods effected the levels. (The ATP test is a process of rapidly measuring actively growing microorganisms through detection of adenosine triphosphate, or ATP)

The high risk areas on these gaming machines are play buttons, hand rests and arms of chairs. We registered an average level of about 400 ATP on the machines, and this is after they had been cleaned overnight. Cleaning with spray disinfection cleaner and cheap disposable cloth reduced the levels by about half, however levels rose as the same cloth was used over multiple machines.

When cleaned with high quality disposable facility wipes, the levels were reduce between 96%-99%. As germs double every 20 minutes, the more germs we remove the safer our facilities will be.

Our complete TouchPoint Cleaning System allows you to stay on top of keeping your clubs hygiene levels.
